What are Custom Liveries?
Custom liveries are a feature available in Emergency Response: Liberty County for private servers that have purchased the Custom Livery Pack. This system allows communities to upload their own livery designs for department vehicles, enabling personalization and roleplay based on real-life cities, counties, and states or even fictional municipalities created by players and server communities.
What Are Private Server Ads?
Private server ads are a separate customization feature that allows private server owners to design billboard and bus stop ads placed throughout the in-game world. These ads promote your community inside ER:LC, are shown at in-game locations to other players, and offer basic analytics to track how many players viewed your ad.
Why Are Liveries and Advertisements Reviewed?
To keep ER:LC a safe and appropriate experience for all players, we review custom liveries and server ads that are submitted. While the Roblox image moderation system helps filter most content, it is not perfect. Some content may slip through. Our two-step review process ensures all content shown in-game meets community standards and Roblox’s Terms of Service.
Why Was My Livery or Ad Denied?
Your livery was most likely denied because it doesn't meet all of our rules listed below. If your livery gets denied, you'll see the reason for denial in the livery editor. Please read and follow all rules carefully.
If your livery meets all of the rules and was still denied, it's most likely because your design contains unreadable text or logos. All text and logos must be large, clear, and contrast against the background. If you make a staff livery for example, it's a good idea to write the server name is the same size font as the "STAFF" text.
If your submission was denied, please review the full guidelines below.
You are welcome to resubmit your design after making corrections, or you may open a support ticket in our Discord server for further clarification.
Custom Livery Guidelines
-
All designs must follow Roblox’s rules and Terms of Service.
Avoid any inappropriate, unsafe, or offensive content. -
Custom liveries may not contain any references to external communication platforms, contact information, or web links
Including, but not limited to: website URLs, QR codes, phone numbers, etc.
Exceptions: well recognized emergency phone numbers such as "911" and "999" are allowed. -
All elements of your livery (including text & logos) must be clearly visible and easy to read.
Completely blank liveries (or those with barely visible elements) will not be accepted. Make sure your design includes something meaningful like text, logos, patterns, or symbols.
Make sure your text does not blend into the background and it is an appropriate font size so the content is easily readable, even from a distance. If we cannot confidently read or verify the content, it will be denied. -
You may not use copyrighted or trademarked material in your custom livery
Only upload designs you created yourself, or ones you have permission to use.
This includes (but is not limited to): logos of real companies, copyrighted designs or icons. -
Staff, Moderator, or Admin liveries must clearly indicate the name of your server
-
This requirement applies to every side of the vehicle where terms like "Staff", "Admin", or "Mod" appear.
-
You may use abbreviations, provided they clearly identify your community.
-
Examples of acceptable markings:
-
"MRP Admin"
for Mountain Roleplay -
"NSRP Mod"
for Nevada State Roleplay
-
-
-
Using real-world emergency service names, logos, etc. is permitted
Liveries based on city, county, or state police and sheriff departments are allowed.
❗️ If your livery contains text or logos that are hard to read—such as small fonts, poor contrast, or blending into the background—it will be denied, even if everything else is correct. Make sure all text is clearly visible and easy to read at a glance.
Private Server Ad Guidelines
To ensure fair use and compliance, private server ads must follow the rules below:
-
No external links, QR codes, or social media handles
(e.g., Discord, X, Facebook, Instagram) -
Do not advertise giveaways, free Robux, staff positions, or perks
-
Your server name or abbreviation must appear on the ad
This can be included in a logo or in text. -
Ads must be directly related to Roblox and ER:LC
Do not submit memes, joke ads, or irrelevant content -
Your ad must be well designed and professional
Use in-game screenshots, clean text, or a custom logo. Avoid cluttered or unpolished visuals.
Size Requirements for Private Server Ads
There are two available formats for private server advertisements:
-
Billboard Ads: 16:9 aspect ratio
-
Bus Stop Ads: 2:3 aspect ratio
To ensure good performance and quality, we recommend a maximum of 512px on either axis.
